The Šatník Foundation was founded by journalist Nora Fridrichová, who became interested in the topic of self-support years ago as a journalist. Single-parent families are among the groups permanently at risk of poverty, the media reported on them sporadically, and even politicians were not interested in them, who only told them to "find a new sponsor". In 2019, Nora organized the first collection of clothes at her place of work and in a few days a ton was collected! When the pandemic came, she successively established two public collections to help single-parent families, for food and for laptops for children in distance learning. In 2021, in the center of Prague, together with a group of female friends, they opened Šatník, which they serve as volunteers, completely without the right to remuneration. For them, this is the assurance that every parent and their children will leave them nicely dressed. Werich's saying that clothes make a man still applies. But not only that, they want children and parents to feel good, that's why they are constantly expanding their services, they offer hairdressing services, massages, provide groceries and drugstores, but they also make sure that children can receive gifts for their birthdays or for Christmas.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, they have also been helping mothers with children on the run. They are glad that they can help at least in this way, and that Šatník, as Forbes magazine recently wrote, has become one of the largest mediators of direct humanitarian aid in the Czech Republic.

The Pink Bubble Foundation was founded in 2012 by model Martina Šmuková with the aim of helping children and young people whose lives have been complicated by cancer. The foundation provides comprehensive support to patients aged 11 to 30 in the Czech Republic with any oncological or hemato-oncological diagnosis, not only during the treatment period, but also during the subsequent recovery and return to normal life.

Oncological disease is a big test for every patient, but it also affects the lives of young people at a difficult age when children become adults. At Pink Bubble, we therefore try to make this period easier for them so that, despite the illness, the young patients experience it as happily as possible and are able to get back on their feet as soon as possible.

We established cooperation with Pink Bubble this year. The first support went to 3 Pink Bubble families to take care of the supply of Kolorek. Another joint project is the possibility of purchasing the Handbook How to cope in the hospital directly on our e‑shop.

In ten years, the Pink Bubble Foundation has already helped hundreds of children, teenagers and young adults, distributing 28 million crowns to them and fulfilling wishes worth 10 million crowns.

And why Pink Bubble? “There is a pink bubble meditation. When you have a big wish, it's better to imagine it fulfilled than to carry it in your head all the time. Then wrap that idea in an imaginary pink bubble, unpin it into the universe and not worry about it anymore. The universe will arrange for your wish to come true at the right moment. When I was twenty and I was dealing with something important, a friend advised me. That's when the idea of ​​the bubble helped me, and when I was looking for a name for the foundation, I remembered her. In fact, at Pink Bubble we try to give those bubbles an extra boost so that the wishes of the patients come true as quickly as possible," says Martina.

At Pink Bubble, they approach all aid recipients individually to help them with what they need most. They try to fulfill their personal wishes and also provide them with experiences, because moments of happiness and joy are really important for young people whose lives have been affected by such an unpredictable disease. They organize activities that could distract young patients during treatment and recovery, strengthen their hope and bring as much laughter and good mood into their lives as possible.

To the "bubbles", as they call their clients, they contribute to medical, rehabilitation or movement aids and services, thanks to which the treatment process is shorter, more pleasant and life after its completion is easier. They support women and young men during their studies in the hospital and in home treatment, provide them with retraining courses, training or part-time jobs and provide targeted help so that they can stand on their own two feet after treatment and fully step into a new stage of life.

The endowment fund and above all the people in it decided to accompany young people from children's homes on their way to real life. Children from the children's home lose their home twice! First by leaving the biological family and secondly by leaving the children's home, when they often find themselves in unfavorable situations and are completely dependent only on themselves. The Foundation wants to help young people who leave children's homes to overcome this feeling of insecurity and loneliness and thus make it easier for them to start an independent life.

The VISION of the foundation is that every young person who leaves the gates of the children's home knows what awaits them, is prepared for it and is not alone. The wish of Veronika and her fund is that every child leaving the children's home has by law their own guide whom they can trust.

For every young person who shows interest, the foundation fund sends so-called GUIDE. In this way, an individual relationship is created, which arises in the children's home and continues even after leaving it. This is also why the Foundation wants to visit, motivate and embrace all children in children's homes in the Czech Republic and offer them a helping hand.

The foundation fund was founded by model Veronika Kašáková based on her personal experience. She grew up with her brother in a children's home from the age of 4, and as she says herself "I am convinced that I was in a children's home and experienced all those moments precisely so that today I can understand other abandoned children and to offer them help, I am one of them, and although there are undoubtedly children who have much stronger stories than mine, I believe that our work in homes can lift even just one child from his chair who says to himself: "It doesn't matter who my mother or father is, it matters WHO I AM!"

Kolorky has been cooperating with Veronika and her foundation fund for several years. As needed, we send Kolorek packages to the foundation fund, which go to young people who have left the gates of the children's home and become parents themselves or directly to children's homes and Kangaroos where they are needed. Veronika and her son Matyášek were also the face of our campaign.

The Kapka naděje foundation fund was created based on the personal experience of its founder, Vendula Pizingerová. In November 1999, Vendula organized a benefit concert at the Prague State Opera under the name Drop of Hope, the proceeds of which were used to purchase a specialized device for the diagnosis of leukemia worth USD 90,000. After the death of her daughter, Vendula decided to continue to help and in August 2000 she founded the Kapka naděje Foundation. First, the fund supported the hematology department at the Motol hospital. Thanks to great commitment, it was possible to gain trust and with it a number of donors from institutions, companies and the general public. In 2002, the scope of the fund could thus be extended to hospitals throughout the Czech Republic.

Currently, the fund helps in more than 50 hospitals throughout the Czech Republic, and its support goes from neonatal, pediatric and oncology departments to palliative care. Together with leading doctors, experts and partners, it thus increases the chance of saving the lives of child patients with serious illnesses. Main areas of interest are hematology, oncology and very closely related child psychiatry.

Since 2000, the fund has been helping children and their families by purchasing equipment, renovating children's wards and medical offices, supporting research and educating the public. The Kapka naděje endowment fund financed the purchase of more than 500 medical devices, implemented more than 200 projects in the field of psychosocial care, and supported 3 scientific researches in the field of hematology and oncology.

In total, the Kapka naděje Foundation helped with more than 200 million crowns.

Colored pencils help where it makes sense. Unfortunately, we too have met children with cancer in our area and we know that their situation is not easy and that we need to support not only the children, but also their parents. We regularly send Kolorky to hospitals or directly to families who cooperate with Kapka nadjeje.
